Position: Extrusion Press Operator
Position Type: Full time
Pay rate: $20.50 per hour
Schedule: Third Shift. Monday to Friday, 10 PM to 6 AM
Jobsite Location: Orlando

Job Summary
The position is responsible for the beginning set-up and/or automation processes for production, with emphasis on measures to increase productivity, efficiency and utilization.
Press Operators are responsible for operating factory machinery. They ensure they run smoothly, work at capacity without issues, and are appropriately maintained.

Basic Duties and responsibilities

  • Adjust, calibrate, and test equipment at the beginning of every shift to ensure proper operation.
  • Make repairs when necessary, and replace defective, broken, or worn-out components.
  • Use cleaning solutions, grease guns, oil cans, air hoses and cleaning cloths to clean and
    maintain equipment.
  • Ensure machines are always operating at peak efficiency.
  • Examine, weigh, and measure final products during each run to ensure the machines are
    producing according to product specifications and adjust as needed.
  • Work with team members, shift supervisors and all necessary personnel to resolve
    complications as they arise.
  • Check Presses, Job and Film status
  • Checking Ink Parameters (viscosity, match PMS Book, etc.)
  • Constantly check the viscosity while the job is running
  • Get plate sleeves or cylinders
  • Get inks and setup inks in decks
  • Get film for job to the press, put setup role in unwind
  • Get all cores for job, install first core in wind adjust viscosity, add solvent as necessary
  • Weigh the finished roles and place them in the pallet, strap and get ready for delivery to the Central location.

Job Requirements

Basic requirements

  • One year’s experience in a plastic manufacturing experience
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Experience driving a forklift truck preferred
  • Basic computer and calculator knowledge
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Able to read measurements
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred)
  • Clean Background
  • Drug-free workplace
  • Flexible to work overtime & weekends
